Black is cool

For those with hay fever or the general flu/cold, nasal congestion and cough is a sure symptom. I used to always think that dairy will increase the production of phlegm or sputum, but apparently, all it does is thicken it.

Getting a little too gross?

Since getting sick, I haven't actually had any dairy. There's hardly any dairy products in my house actually, with my parents and brother being lactose intolerant. Me? Not quite. They tell me it'll develop later in my life, but I'm crossing my fingers and drinking my flat whites till that happens.

So this is what I usually have.

but when sick, this is what I have. I look around and see colourful cups and saucers for all the caps and flatwhites, but my cup? I got the cool black cup!

This was before badminton. Yes, I went to badminton even when sick, which people tell me is pretty stupid. At the onset of this damn flu, I went to badminton, thinking I'd sweat it out and it'll all get better.

It got worse.

Since it's sort of plateaued these couple of days, not getting better or worse, I thought I'd try again and sweat it out. Digressing for a while, I read somewhere that a way to get rid of a runny nose is to... eat spicy food. Insane as it sounds, the article (I forgot where I read this actually) argued that by overstimulating the sinus and having it produce MORE mucus at one time, you then blow it out, clear it all in one go, and yay, no more runny nose!

That is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever read, because for me, runny nose usually comes hand in hand with... either a cough or a sore throat. What does spicy food do for that?! And... even without eating spicy food, one can blow it all out and TEMPORARY clear the nasal passage, but we all know it comes back after a while. So when I visited the doctor to get my mc, he recommended Claritin (antihistamines) and nasal spray. That sounds more like it.

Anyway, back on topic. This was from Strathfield's My Sweet Memory cafe, just grabbing a quick bite before heading to badminton.

At the moment with my tastes buds giving me 0 taste on anything, the long black doesn't taste half bad.

Mad at you for taking the last croissant >=|

Should take more long blacks, they seem more classy.

Long blacks are FAR from classy, it's also called the "americano", ie, drip coffee.

Want to be classy? Take a short black =P
